What is GCC Kids Ministry?

​

GCC Kids is a ministry designed with kids – babies through 5th graders - in mind. Each Sunday during our services, kids are learning stories from the bible and playing games, doing activities and making crafts to help them remember or apply what they have learned. Our goals each Sunday morning and at all of our kids events throughout the year are to provide kids with a safe environment where they are with Godly leaders, learning about Jesus and having fun! We would love to meet you and your family!

What to expect on your First Visit?

 

If it’s your first time attending a Sunday morning service with your kids, head over to our check-in counter and let us know it’s their first time. We will get a little information from you, get everything put into our check-in system and get your kids checked in. Your child will wear a sticker with a code on it and you will have one with a matching code. If your child needs you during the service, you will see their code come up on the screen in the auditorium. You will also need your parent tag to pickup your child from their room!

Once checked in, we will show you where your child’s room is.

Who is with your kids?

 

We have an AMAZING team of people who serve with GCC Kids! Each one of our Kids Servers is known by a member of our staff. They each have a love for God and a love for kids! They volunteer their time on a rotation to make sure that our GCC Kids have fun and learn about Jesus every single week. Each server over 18+ has gone through a background check as well.

What will your kids do?

 

It depends on their age. But our babies and toddlers get to play and spend time with our fantastic Nursery and Toddler servers. Our Preschoolers will sing and dance, hear a bible story specifically designed for 3-5 year old’s, make crafts and play games. Our Elementary kids will worship together, hear a bible story, have small group-style discussions, make crafts or do an activity that revolves around the story they've learned.

How can I know what my kids are learning?

 

Check out the parent CUE app! Be sure to sign up under Golden Corner Church after you download the app. The curriculum we use on Sunday mornings has created this app that you can use to see your child’s monthly memory verse, give you questions or talking points to help remind them of what they learned on Sunday throughout the week and you can also watch a bible story if you have to miss a Sunday with us!
